It does not matter which side of the aisle or which side of the issue you are on. Just as in business we want to see all employees engaged, our country needs all of its people that are eligible to vote, to exercise their rights.
I just returned from a trade association meeting for the trucking industry. Trade associations exist for nearly every industry. A main focus for all of them is caring about what is happening at the local, state, and federal level for legislation that affects business. Labor laws, health and safety laws, taxes, defense appropriations, tariffs, executive orders, judicial decisions are all examples of items that affect us as both individuals and as owners or employees of businesses. I sometimes add on to a famous quote by saying, “Government of the people, by the people, for the people—not necessarily for business.”
You have the choice, the duty, and the responsibility as part of this wonderful, free, and democratic country to make your voice heard, your thoughts understood, your vision seen, your feelings felt.
